Arizona Production Association (APA)

APA is a non-profit trade association for film, theatre and television professionals. Our mission is to promote, encourage and advance the growth of the film, theatre and television industries within the State of Arizona and to improve the status and skills of our members.

APA has three membership levels: Basic, Web and Directory.

Basic Members receive our printed newsletter, discounts on various goods & services and free or discounted admission to APA-sponsored events. Members also receive regular news updates and information on upcoming industry events via APA's broadcast e-mail service. Basic Memberships are $40 per year ($25 for Seniors age 65 and over and Students age 25 or under with ID and proof of age) and renew in the month in which you join.

Web Members receive all of the above benefits, plus two listings in our online Production Guide only. Web Memberships are $130 per year and renew in the month in which you join. They are available year round. Web Members can upgrade to Directory Memberships by paying the extra $20 when the book opens up for listings each year. Your membership would then come up for renewal each May.

Directory Members receive all the above benefits, plus two listings in the printed version of the Production Guide, published once each year. (Print listings are identical to online listings.) We printed 4,750 copies of the 2010 issue. The printed Guide is distributed nationwide to producers, coordinators, directors, location managers, ad agencies, etc. This membership level is $150 per year and is only available from April through the published deadline each July. This year's deadline was Friday, July 16, 2010. Applications for the printed version of the 2011 Arizona Production Guide are no longer being accepted. Please consider joining as a Web Member to have your informatoin included in the online production guide.

Web and Directory applicants must submit three call sheets or three references for each category in which they would like to be listed. In addition, these membership levels are open to Arizona residents only. Listing Criteria must be met for all listings.

Students (age 25 and under) and Seniors (age 65 and older) receive a $20 discount off of the Web and Directory membership levels. Proof of age is required for either discount; for students, copy of current student ID is also required.

In addition to membership, APA has volunteer opportunities available. You can get involved by helping out our Events, Internet, Membership, Legal/Political Action, Southern Arizona or Marketing Committees. Being on a committee is a great way to meet other industry professionals and keep in touch with the local production community.

Processing Time: APA has only one, part-time staff member. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed (assuming we can reach your references).

Directory Memberships are not available at the present time. We will open up for new Directory Members in April of 2011 for the 2012 issue.
