Thank you for inquiring into membership in the Arizona Production Association (APA).
APA is a non-profit trade association for film, theatre and television professionals. Our mission is to promote, encourage and advance the growth of the film, theatre and television industries within the State of Arizona and to improve the status and skills of our members.
APA has three membership levels: Basic, Web and Directory.
Basic Members receive our printed newsletter, a Benefit List containing discounts on various goods & services, and free or discounted admission to APA-sponsored events. Members also receive regular news updates and information on upcoming industry events via APA’s broadcast e-mail service. Basic Memberships are $40 per year ($25 for Seniors and Students with ID) and renew in the month in which you join.
Web Members receive all of the above benefits, plus two listings in our online Directory only. Web Memberships are $130 per year and renew in the month in which you join.
Directory Members receive all the above benefits, plus two listings in the printed version of the Production Guide, published once each year. This membership level is $150 per year and is only available from April through the published deadline each July. The deadline for the 2009 issue was July 11, 2008. We print about 4,000 copies of the book and distribute them nationwide to producers, coordinators, directors, location managers, ad agencies, etc.
Web Members can upgrade to Directory Memberships by paying the extra $20 when the book opens up for listings each year. Your membership would then come up for renewal each May.
Web and Directory applicants must submit three call sheets or three references for each category in which they would like to be listed. In addition, these membership levels are open to Arizona residents only.
Students and Seniors (age 65 and older) receive a $20 discount off of the Web and Directory membership levels. Proof of age or student status is required to qualify for the discount.
In addition to membership, APA has volunteer opportunities available. You can get involved by helping out our Events, Internet, Membership, Legal/Political Action, Southern Arizona or Marketing Committees. Being on a committee is a great way to meet other industry professionals and keep in touch with the local production community.
Processing Time: APA has only one, part-time staff member. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed.

Directory Memberships are not available at the present time, as we have closed for listings in the 2009 issue. We will begin taking new Directory Members again in April 2009.
