APA Moves to All-Electronic Presence

The Arizona Production Association is growing and evolving with the times to better serve our members' needs with a new on-line presence to make members more visible and provide information to producers about the Arizona production community. After much consideration, the APA Board of Directors decided to discontinue publishing the printed directory and move to an on-line platform. The APA will now have an interactive and informative electronic Directory where members can highlight their services and customize their listings to potential clients.

SB-1242 DEAD; No Tax Incentives This Year

I sincerely wish I had better news, but the window of opportunity we had to get some traction on passing the Multimedia Production Tax Incentive bill, SB-1242, has closed. The hard work to try and stay one step ahead of the opposition was successful, but with every new approach we used, there was an equal effort to close doors we had already opened. The current legislative leaders were generally not supportive of our cause, so it became painfully evident that we are trying to push a bill that had little chance of success.

SB1242 - Multimedia Production; Tax Incentives

The 2013 version of the Multimedia Production Tax Incentive Bill was introduced in the Senate on January 29. It was assigned to the Commerce, Finance and Rules Committees, and passed through Commerce on February 13 with a minor amendment. The next step is for the Bill to be heard in the Senate Finance Committee, but it has not yet been placed on that committee's agenda.
