news: APA Moves to All-Electronic Presence

May 1, 2013
The Arizona Production Association is growing and evolving with the times to better serve our members' needs with a new on-line presence to make members more visible and provide information to producers about the Arizona production community. After much consideration, the APA Board of Directors decided to discontinue publishing the printed directory and move to an on-line platform. The APA will now have an interactive and informative electronic Directory where members can highlight their services and customize their listings to potential clients.

To showcase our new electronic Directory, we are designing an exciting new website that will offer greater functionality and flexibility for members to promote themselves, while keeping all of the things you have grown to love. Our site will provide better access to members' personal sites and increase their exposure on search engines for those seeking their services. Members will also have more freedom to optimize their presence on our site by adding video, audio, images, logos and additional listings, and to promote themselves and their companies by purchasing ad space.

Members will be able to edit and customize listing information online with additional features, giving them more control over their information and Directory presence. Information can be uploaded faster and the APA will not have to mail and process proof sheets each year. Existing members will also be able to pay their renewal dues online, but will still have the option of renewing by mail if they prefer. The new website will allow members to add an image or logo to their listings and purchase extra listings and other features. New members will also be able to join online.

The APA has revamped membership levels, creating more options for you! Check out the Join APA page for a complete list of levels and their benefits.

This summer, APA will be hosting a "Premiere Party" to preview the new electronic Directory and website. This event replaces the "Last Chance" party formerly held at the end of May.

The APA is very excited to take this step to better serve the members of Arizona's Premiere organization for film, theater and television professionals!
