news: A Filmmakers Journey: From SCC Student to Series DP on "Chicago Fire"

September 8, 2015
We'll start with a fabulous lunch provided by our host MP&E Equipment Rental. Arizona's largest camera house, MP&E also carries a full line of grip and electric: Grip trucks; Honda and Litepower Movie quiet generators; HMI's, Mole, ARRI, Kino Flo, Litepanels, K5600; ARRI Alexa, Canon, Sony, Panasonic, and RED cameras; Cinema Prime & Zoom Lenses from Angenieux, Canon, Cooke, Fujinon & Zeiss.

Following lunch, Jayson will speak on a range of topics based on audience questions including:

- Transitioning from student to working professionals.

- Working in independent features versus working on network television.

- Finding the balance between being an artist and being a manager.

- The realities of reels, agents, and being in a union versus non-union.

- The practicalities of making your days, location versus stage work, etc.

Jayson will also show a few clips from CHICAGO FIRE and then discuss them in detail (we'll talk about shooting fire!)

This is intended to be an interactive workshop; Jayson will tailor the workshop to the group based on the questions submitted. This is your chance to have a workshop custom made for you!
