news: APA Camera Workshop - Saturday, May 9

Next in our series of monthly workshops we will focus on DIGITAL CAMERAS. This is a GREAT way to fine tune your existing skills and/or learn NEW ones from seasoned professionals Earl Sisson and Leo Reyes. This will be a four-hour seminar from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, with lunch AND a Q&A included!
NOTE: This workshop is for those age 18 & Over.
Topics we hope to cover include:
Sony F55 and A7, Red Epic, Panasonic HDX900 cameras Depth of field and light sensitivity Stabilization Options Lens Options and Limitations Adaptors Speed Boosters Recording Systems: 4K, UHD, 2K, HD Best Practices for Edit Preparation
The workshop will be held at Broadcast Rentals, 2343 W. University Dr., #101, Tempe, Arizona, 85281. For more than two decades, Broadcast Rentals has built a reputation for superior service, customer support and technical excellence. They are a full-service rental house, supplying the needs of professionals in the broadcast, production and film industries. In addition, BR technicians and engineers are available as support personnel for your production needs.
Broadcast Rentals' Earl Sisson will show what a pro looks at when selecting a camera system and how to assemble and operate that system. APA Member Leo Reyes will talk about the Red Epic, and best practices for editorial prep.
Earl Sisson, with 27 years as the team lead for Visual Services at Honeywell Aerospace, and 9 years as the Senior Technician at Broadcast Rentals, has an in depth understanding of Digital Cameras and Systems.
Leo Reyes has worked professionally in the film business as a Data Handler & Assistant Cameraman. Experienced with all digital camera formats, he has worked on national commercials, features, corporate projects, and documentaries. He'll share his real world experience working on set!
