news: Member Renewal Deadline

July 1, 2013
SAVE THE DATE! As promised, the APA is continuing the tradition of hosting an annual party, and this year will be a preview event where you can get a sneak peek at the new website and electronic Production Guide!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 22, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm to join APA at Maggiano's Little Italy in Scottsdale and be among the first to get a glimpse of the new website! In addition to the site preview, we have food and beverages, and APA leadership will be present to answer questions. This is also a great opportunity for you to network with other industry professionals. This event is FREE for members; non-members will be charged $15 at the door.

August 22, 2013, is also the DEADLINE for you to renew your membership in order to keep your listing information in the online production guide. If your dues and payment for any additional listings are not received by August 22, 2013, your membership will expire and your listings will be removed from the online production guide and will not move over to the new site.

Many of you took advantage of our "Early Bird" offer and have already renewed. If you're not one of them, look for your renewal letter to arrive by mail. Renewal letters with instructions were mailed to existing members on July 26. Be sure to get your renewal back to APA by August 22, or bring it with you to the "Last Chance" Party and renew in person!

As you know, earlier this year the APA Board of Directors decided to discontinue publishing the printed directory and move to an on-line platform. The APA will now have an interactive and informative electronic Production Guide where members can highlight their services and customize their listings to potential clients.

The site will provide better access to your personal site and increase your exposure on search engines for those seeking your services. You will also have more control over your information and the freedom to optimize your presence on the site by adding video, audio, images, logos and additional listings, and to promote yourself and your company by purchasing ad space.

The new website will allow you to upload information faster and the APA will not have to mail or process proof sheets each year. For future renewals, you'll have the option of paying dues online or submitting your renewal through the mail if you prefer. Renewal notifications will be sent via e-mail, though, so please make sure we have a current e-mail address on file for you.

The APA is very excited to take these steps to better serve you and promote your services as members of Arizona's Premiere organization for film, theatre and television professionals.

Thank you for your continued support of APA and production in Arizona!
