news: Nominations for APA Board of Directors

October 1, 2013
Dear APA Members,

It's election time! It's time to think about being on the board and contributing to the direction we take as we move forward with a new agenda. It's time to think about helping APA build an international platform for all its members to strut their stuff without ever leaving home. It's time to get involved. We need you. We want new faces, we need new ideas and it's important to not just be a member but to also bring something to the table.

APA has provided a service to those out of market for over 25 years, and we will continue to do so on a grander scale now that we are not limited to a certain amount of printed books. With your help, we can continue the momentum and make this organization bigger and better than ever before.

To be eligible to run, you must be a current APA member in good standing, which means your dues must be paid current. If elected, you must be willing to serve a three-year term, be able to regularly attend board meetings and actively support, attend and participate in one or more committees. (There are currently approximately eight board meetings per year held in a Central Phoenix location. Members who live outside of the Valley may attend by phone conference.)

If you are interested in running for the Board of Directors or would like to nominate another APA member, please contact me at danisagency@cox.net AND Julie Lee at Julie@azproduction.com.

All nominees will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire letting us know your experience in the industry and any ideas/goals you have for the APA. This form is used to prepare the ballot that will be sent out to members.

Please feel free to ask me, Julie or current president Jill Ormond any questions you might have to help you make a decision about running for the board.

The DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS to be received is October 31, 2013.

Thank you for contributing to the success of YOUR APA!

Sincerely, Dani Green APA President-Elect
