news: Nominations Open for Board Candidates
It's that time of year again! Are you looking for a way to get more involved in our film community? One great way of doing so is by taking advantage of the opportunity to serve our membership from a seat on our Board of Directors!
The Arizona Production Association is made up of APA Members, just like you, who volunteer their time to help lead our organization so the APA can continue to promote OUR people, OUR state and OUR work! Each year, one-third of our board members roll off and we elect new members to take their place, which gives YOU and other members the opportunity to serve!
APA is now seeking candidates to run in this year's election, which takes place in December. To be eligible to run, you must ALREADY be an APA Member in good standing (your dues must be paid current), be able to attend approximately 10 board meetings a year, (currently held remotely via Zoom) and be willing to serve on at least one committee. Individuals elected will serve a three-year term which will kick off at the first APA Board meeting in January 2023.
Candidates must complete a short questionnaire with some biographical information that will be used to prepare the ballot.
Another way to get involved is by serving on a committee. We're always looking for members to help with Events, Marketing, Membership & more. The APA is a unique and valuable resource that we continue to grow and improve so our members can reap the benefits, which is why we need YOU, your ideas and your leadership.
If you'd like to nominate yourself or another Member to run for an open board seat, or if you're interested in putting your talents to use for the betterment of our organization and the growth and promotion of our members in other ways, please send a note to APA President, Misty Wilson, president@azproduction.com, AND to our Administrative Director Julie Lee: julie@azproduction.com. Include contact info for the member you are nominating (or yourself if you want to run), and/or the name of the committee(s) you're interested in joining.
The Deadline for Board Candidate Nominations is OCTOBER 31, 2021.
