COVID-19 Small Business Outreach

During these troubled times, the Arizona Production Association knows that the COVID-19 virus has had a profound impact on our local production community. We are grateful to The City of Phoenix Film Office for providing the following documents and links to make you aware of some resources that you might not know about.  Please note that information is changing daily and we will do our best to get you the latest information as it becomes available. Should you have further questions after reviewing the information and/or wish to speak with someone directly, the Phoenix Film Office is happy to speak with you.  Please send an email with your name and number to: filmphx@phoenix.gov and a representative will contact you.

And please be sure to THANK PHIL BRADSTOCK for providing this information for our Arizona production community!

APRIL 14 UPDATE:

A quick update from my Workforce Team at the City of Phoenix regarding unemployment (note he is not with DES, but is current with the situation):

If you apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI) you may still be receiving a message saying you are not eligible due to being self-employed.  However, you should still apply as our understanding is that payments will be received retroactively based on the date you submitted your application.  This message will continue to appear until they have their policies in place. So if you have not applied because you heard someone else was told they are not eligible and you felt you were in the same category, you should still apply ASAP.

We also have info about the NEW Small Business Relief Grant Program offered by the Phoenix IDA in conjunction with the city of Phoenix. The maximum grant amount is $10,000. Qualifications can be viewed on this flier: https://azproduction.com/uploads/phoenix-ida-small-business-relief-grants-flyer.pdf

To apply, click the link in the flyer or visit https://www.azfoundation.org/GrantsLoans/SmallBusinessRelief.aspx.

Hope everyone is staying safe!
